Do you enjoy the out-of-doors and the chance to work directly with the land? Then we've got the thing for you – our monthly workday.Volunteers help us steward special sites owned by Libertyville Township. These places are so ecologically valuable they're part of the Illinois Nature Preserve system. We provide tools and instruction, and volunteers help with projects such as weed control, seed collecting and planting. Trust us: it’s not too intense, and you’ll enjoy meeting other like-minded people.
Wear jeans and boots; we’ll bring gloves, water and nourishment.
Registration is suggested but not mandatory.
