Invasive Species Workshop

The Northeast Illinois Invasive Plant Partnership (NIIPP:www.niipp.net) will be holding workshops, two in Lake County, to provide education and outreach about invasive plants to towns, villages, park districts, forest preserve districts, and other organizations located in or near the Lake Michigan Watershed. Workshop dates are December 5th and January 23rd. During each workshop Cathy McGlynn, Coordinator of NIIPP, will provide information about the natural history and identifying characteristics of new and common invasive plants in the Chicago region.  In addition, attendees will learn about online resources for reporting and controlling these species.
