Leading our award-winning Conservation@Home program, Mary manages our popular native plant sales and has conducted over 700 property consultations in which she helps people identify meaningful eco-friendly projects that fit their busy lives. Mary graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in botany. Prior to joining Conserve Lake County she worked with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. She has volunteered as a master gardener since 2001.
Born and raised in Lake County, Mary is now raising her own family here as well. She loves paddle-boarding in summer, campfires in autumn, reading in winter, and finding the first flowers to bloom each spring.
When asked what she loves most about Conserve Lake County, she quickly answers: the volunteers!
